About CICCQSU

The Construction & Infrastructure Cost Consultants and Quantity Surveyors of Uganda is a professional institution established to promote the advancement, recognition and practice of Quantity Surveying in Uganda.

CICCQSU brings together Quantity Surveyors and construction cost consultants to promote professional excellence, ethical conduct, continuous learning, collaboration, innovation and public confidence in construction cost management.

Our Mandate

CICCQSU exists to promote the general advancement of Quantity Surveying and its application in Uganda. The institution supports members through professional development, ethical standards, knowledge sharing, institutional representation and guidance on construction cost and contract-related matters.

To be a world-class institution that promotes the advancement and practice of Quantity Surveying in Uganda.

Our Mission

To promote an enabling environment that helps Quantity Surveyors achieve excellence in service delivery; promote, regulate and enforce best international standards in Quantity Surveying practice; and promote cooperation with professional organisations representing Quantity Surveyors regionally and internationally.

Objectives of CICCQSU

  1. Advance the role and recognition of Quantity Surveyors in Uganda’s construction industry.
  2. Encourage innovation, research and adoption of best practices in Quantity Surveying.
  3. Establish and maintain standards of practice, ethics and professionalism among members.
  4. Provide opportunities for continuous learning, skill development and knowledge sharing.
  5. Facilitate collaboration, communication and mutual support among Quantity Surveyors.
  6. Offer guidance and support in resolving disputes related to construction costs and contracts.
  7. Promote the general advancement of Quantity Surveying and its application in Uganda.
  8. Represent Uganda’s Quantity Surveying fraternity in regional and international professional forums.
  9. Cooperate with professional regulatory bodies, educational institutions and public authorities.
  10. Publish proceedings, reports, papers and communications on Quantity Surveying and related matters.
  11. Advise government, public bodies and other stakeholders on matters concerning Quantity Surveying.
